Software Development Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an Software Development Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for overseeing the work of our application development team responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting the MCIM SaaS application and system software, including desktop and mobile applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement large IT projects on our custom cloud MCIM application 

  • Work to establish functional requirements and review solutions to ensure organizational needs are met. Translate business requirements into a robust, scalable technical design. 

  • Lead and facilitate client calls

  • Manage day to day activities and ensure efficient resource utilization within the organization's software development function

  • Oversee implementation of simultaneous software development projects. 

  • Collaborate on product strategy and roadmap to ensure continuous improvement and innovation of MCIM 

  • Ensure deadlines and associated project targets are met

  • Maintain required project documentation including initial requirements, QA testing plans and roll out schedules

  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects

  • Generate weekly and monthly performance reports 

  • Oversee and guide evolution of MCIM’s analytics capabilities at a product level and within client-specific situations

  • Oversee and manage integration projects between MCIM and various client applications (e.g. ServiceNow, Corrigo, etc.)

  • Contribute to product and process improvements and refinement of QA best practices 

Preferred Requirements of Ideal Candidate

  • 6+ years previous experience in cloud-based technologies, programming, or information systems  

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills

  • Deadline and detail-oriented

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related industry 

  • Programming skills

  • Customer/client orientation

  • Decision-making skills

  • People and project management skills with the ability to foster teamwork and develop and mentor others

  • Any data center equipment knowledge is a plus

  • Any Salesforce.com knowledge is a plus
